The Great South Run 2008
It was that time of year again when The BUPA Great South Run took place in Portsmouth on a wet and windswept Sunday monrning on 26th October 2008.
This years event attracted a massive 19,000 participants and is now Britains largest 10 mile (16 kilometre) road race.
Last year Peter's (Sarah's husband) colleague, Peter Longyear ran this race for our charity, he is running again this year for another charity and we wish him well.
This year two of Margaret's (Sarah's mum) friends, Celia and Gordon Russell who are running in this years event had very kindly ran on behalf of our charity. Celia and Gordon have been friends with Margaret for many, many years and on behalf of The sarah Merritt Foundation we would like to extend our thanks for their support of our charity in raising the very much appreciated funds.
Once again we thank everyone who sponsored Celia and Gordon this year.
As you can see, yet another windswept wet day for all concerned.
