Who We Are

We are just an ordinary family who were devasted in March 2007 when our precious Sarah was brutally murdered as she went about her work caring for the clients she loved. As a family, after her death, we vowed we would do everything we could to make something good come out of such a tragic event.  Sarah's family was always first in her life and we were blessed with a family who loved to spend time together and we certainly knew how to have fun.  Sarah was always in the centre when it came to organising family events, including many surprise parties for various members of the family.  Thankfully we have many photographs and videos of family holidays and parties and when the pain of losing her has subsided a bit I dare say we will have many happy times reliving those events. 

Because of Sarah's commitment to her family we decided that, in memory of her, we would set up The Sarah Merritt Foundation to raise money to help families in need - trying to help families with problems and who find it difficult to relate well together to build the sort of happy relationships we all enjoyed, and still do enjoy although without Sarah in our midst life will never be quite the same again.

Husband Peter

Son Daniel and his Girlfriend Laura.  They will make Peter a Grandad and Margaret a Great Grandma sometime around 21st December 2008

Daughter Aimee

Dad Dennis (sadly Dennis died on 8th April 2008)

Brother Mark with his Wife Mandy, Daughter Rachel and Son Matthew (Rachel is due to marry her fiance also named Mark in Southampton on 16th August 2008 - photos here after the event)
